Airdrieonians guaranteed their spot in the Scottish Championship for another season after defeating Cove Rangers 2-1 overall in their playoff final following a goalless second-leg match at Excelsior Stadium.
Early in the game, Lewis McGrattan forced Cove goalkeeper Nicholas Suman to make a fine save, while Cove's Cade Melrose made a crucial block to deny Adam Emslie's shot.
McGrattan missed another chance with a wayward shot, and Airdrie's attack was stopped by a solid block from Arron Darge to deny Aidan Wilson.
In the second half, Melrose made a good save to deny Ryan Harrington's shot, and Wilson's attempt went wide.
Melrose also stopped a late effort from Myles Gaffney as Cove's aspirations of earning promotion to the higher division were dashed.
