Bradford secures League One promotion with thrilling victory against Fleetwood

Bradford secured automatic promotion to League One after an exciting 1-0 victory against Fleetwood.

The team from Yorkshire seemed destined for the play-offs following Walsall's triumph over Crewe.

Antoni Sarcevic's deflected goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time sealed the win, leading to two pitch invasions before the final whistle.

Bradford took control early on, but Fleetwood had a notable opportunity after 24 minutes.

Although Mark Helm and Owen Devonport set up Matty Virtue, Sam Walker's excellent save prevented Fleetwood from scoring.

Brad Halliday missed a chance for Bradford, while Alex Pattison's shot went straight at Jay Lynch.

Just before half-time, Lynch denied Calum Kavanagh with a superb block, redirecting the striker's header onto the crossbar.

Bradford faced challenges in the second half as tension rose among the home fans.

After Jack Shepherd hit the post, Sarcevic's close-range strike secured his sixth promotion from League Two.
