Blackpool secures a draw against Wigan thanks to Lee Evans' penalty

Lee Evans scored a penalty in the second half to help Blackpool secure a 1-1 draw against Wigan, his former team. Wigan had taken the lead early in the game through Jon Mellish's goal.

Wigan made a strong start as Mellish's cross found the back of the net at the near post, surprising Harry Tyrer.

Blackpool gradually got back into the game, with Niall Ennis missing a chance after a clearance off the line by Wigan's Jason Kerr. Latics' goalkeeper Sam Tickle made a crucial save to deny Ennis.

Tickle also made a remarkable save to stop a powerful shot from Evans, who had played for Wigan in the past.

Evans later equalized from the penalty spot, deceiving Tickle to score after Hamilton was brought down in the box.

Tickle continued to impress, making important saves to prevent Albie Morgan from scoring as Blackpool pushed for a winning goal.
