Aberdeen secures a draw against Dundee United thanks to Kevin Nisbet’s double goal

Kevin Nisbet was the star player for Aberdeen as they managed to recover from a 2-0 deficit to secure a surprising draw against Dundee United in the William Hill Premiership.

In the first half, Dundee United's set piece plays caused problems for Aberdeen, with Vicko Sevelj and Sam Dalby scoring from corners.

Despite Aberdeen being more dominant in attack and putting pressure on the visitors in the second half, Nisbet's goal in the 75th minute was their first shot on target.

Nisbet's equalizer in stoppage time was a fitting reward for a strong second-half performance by Jimmy Thelin's team.

Both teams made three changes from their previous defeats to Celtic and Hibernian, leading to a fast-paced start to the game highlighted by a physical clash between Pape Gueye and Declan Gallagher early on.

United took the lead just before Gallagher was substituted, with Sevelj scoring a header off a cross from Glenn Middleton.

Aberdeen's efforts to level the score included a shot from Topi Keskinen that went wide, but they were denied by the offside flag when Emmanuel Adegboyega found the net.

Dundee United extended their lead with Dalby scoring a header from a corner just before half time.

Aberdeen made changes at half time, bringing on Oday Dabbagh and Graeme Shinnie, and started the second half strongly, but struggled to break down United's defense.

Nisbet's goal in the 75th minute gave Aberdeen hope, and they continued to press for an equalizer with Knoester coming close with a long-range effort.

Both teams had chances late in the game, with Fotheringham missing a header for United and Nisbet securing a draw for Aberdeen with a close-range finish in stoppage time.
