Charlton scored two late goals to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory over Leyton Orient in a highly anticipated London derby between two League One teams aiming for a spot in the play-offs.
After falling behind to a stunning strike from Jordan Brown, Charlton turned the game around in added time with goals from Macauley Gillesphey and Kayne Ramsay.
Both of Charlton's goals originated from corner kicks delivered by substitute Alex Gilbert. Gillesphey found the net with a header in the 92nd minute, beating Orient goalkeeper Josh Keeley.
Just four minutes later, Ramsay capitalized on another corner as he headed the ball past Keeley to clinch the dramatic victory for Charlton.
The match started with both teams showcasing solid defensive performances, limiting clear scoring opportunities. However, Leyton Orient broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute when Jordan Brown unleashed a powerful shot from distance after a blocked attempt by Darren Pratley.
Orient had a chance to double their lead shortly after, but Charlton's goalkeeper Will Mannion denied Charlie Kelman's effort, ultimately keeping his team in the game.
Charlton increased the pressure in the closing stages of the match and eventually managed to secure the crucial win, allowing them to move past Leyton Orient in the league standings and claim the final play-off position.
