Lincoln comfortably defeat non-league Chesham to advance to FA Cup second round

Lincoln secured a 4-0 victory against Chesham in the FA Cup match at The Meadow, avoiding a potential upset.

Jack Moylan, Jovon Makama, Conor McGrandles, and a Callum Adebiyi own goal were the key contributors to set up a meeting with Crawley in the second round.

Chesham had a close chance in the 38th minute, but goalkeeper George Wickens denied Nathan Minhas's header following a Samson Esan cross.

Lincoln took the lead just before half-time as Moylan displayed good composure in the box to score past Ben Goode.

They solidified their position in the next round early in the second half when Makama scored after breaking the offside trap.

McGrandles extended the lead in the 65th minute with a deflected shot from the edge of the box that beat Goode.

Chesham's goalkeeper made an impressive save in the 76th minute to deny JJ McKiernan by tipping the shot onto the crossbar.

The fourth goal for Lincoln came as Goode's clearance attempt off Zane Okoro ricocheted off Adebiyi and into the net with four minutes left on the clock.
