Sam Smith led Wrexham to a 3-0 victory against Charlton, securing their third consecutive promotion and earning a spot in the Championship in front of Hollywood investors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
The home team took the lead early in the game with a goal from Ollie Rathbone, who swiftly struck the ball from outside the box in the 16th minute, finding the bottom corner of the net.
Shortly after, the Welsh team extended their lead when Matty James cleverly set up Smith in the penalty area, allowing the forward to score from close range.
Despite Tennai Watson's attempt to score for Charlton just after the half-hour mark, Wrexham's goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo managed to make a crucial save.
At the start of the second half, Watson made a strong run down the wing and delivered a low cross into the box aimed at substitute Micah Mbick, but Max Cleworth cleared the danger.
Wrexham sealed the victory with a third goal less than 10 minutes before the end when Cleworth provided a perfect cross to Smith, who calmly found the back of the net.
The defeat dashed Charlton's hopes of automatic promotion, but they have secured a place in the Sky Bet League One play-offs.
