England easily defeats Belgium in Nations League match with stellar performance

England maintained their unbeaten record in the current Nations League campaign with a convincing 5-0 victory over Belgium at Ashton Gate.

Lucy Bronze and Millie Bright scored in the first half to showcase England’s dominance, with Alessia Russo also going close twice hitting the post.

Aggie Beever-Jones netted her first goal for the Lionesses in the second half, followed by strikes from Jess Park and Keira Walsh to seal the comprehensive win.

Belgium struggled to handle England’s fluidity and accuracy, as the Lionesses now have seven points out of nine in Group A3 before their next match against Belgium on Tuesday.

England made one change from their previous victory over Spain, bringing in Beth Mead for Park.

The Lionesses controlled possession early on, with Bronze playing a key role in their attacks, but they couldn’t convert from three consecutive corners.

Several England players combined well, creating chances including a near miss from Lauren James' free-kick.

England continued to press forward, with Bronze opening the scoring in the 21st minute, before Bright added a second goal before halftime.

The second half saw Beever-Jones score England’s third goal following good play from Mead and Walsh, with Park and Walsh also getting on the scoresheet later on.

England’s relentless pressure and attacking prowess proved too much for Belgium, leading to a convincing victory in front of a crowd of 23,000.
