Devante Rodney scored twice to help Rochdale boost their chances of securing a spot in the National League play-offs with a commanding 4-0 victory over Aldershot.
Despite going winless in their previous four matches, Jimmy McNulty’s team dominated from the kickoff, with Sam Beckwith opening the scoring in the 15th minute following an inventive corner routine.
Aldershot, previously undefeated in eight league games, struggled to find their rhythm and Rodney doubled Rochdale’s lead in the 36th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after Aidan Barlow’s shot was blocked.
Aldershot's Luca Woodhouse missed a great opportunity to pull one back with a header from a corner just before half-time, but Rochdale continued their relentless performance after the break.
Rodney completed his brace in the 54th minute with a superb individual effort, while Ian Henderson sealed the win by converting a swift counter-attack just three minutes later.
