Calum Kavanagh and George Lapslie each scored two goals as Bradford easily defeated promotion challengers Colchester 4-1.
A crowd of 23,381 spectators attended the game at Valley Parade, setting a new attendance record for a fourth-tier match and they saw a dominant performance from the second-placed Bantams.
Bradford increased the pressure in the first half, with Neill Byrne narrowly missing a header before Kavanagh opened the scoring in the 32nd minute from Brad Halliday's pass.
Colchester managed to equalize just four minutes later through Harry Anderson, who scored from the rebound after Jack Payne's initial shot was blocked.
However, Lapslie put Bradford back in front before halftime, heading in Tayo Adaramola's cross.
Colchester tried to fight back, with Payne shooting over from long range and Owura Edwards missing a chance to score.
Bradford's keeper Matt Macey made a crucial save from Romoney Crichlow's header, allowing Kavanagh to score his second goal with an assist from Brandon Khela.
Lapslie completed his brace by converting Bobby Pointon's pass to secure a comprehensive victory for Bradford.
