Ryan Broom and Shaun Rooney contribute to Fleetwood's strong performance under Pete Wild.

Fleetwood secured their third victory in five League Two games with a 2-1 win against MK Dons under the guidance of new manager Pete Wild.

Early on, the Cod Army dominated their mid-table opponents and took the lead in the first half with a goal from Ryan Broom.

Ryan Broom capitalized on a loose ball from a Phoenix Patterson free kick, firing a shot that deflected past Craig MacGillivray to put Fleetwood in front.

Despite MK Dons' neat passing between Dan Crowley and Aaron Nemane, they struggled to create clear scoring opportunities, with Scott Hogan squandering a one-on-one chance by shooting straight at Jay Lynch.

In the second half, Fleetwood increased their lead with a headed goal from defender Shaun Rooney off a Patterson corner, marking Rooney's first goal since rejoining the club from St Mirren.

MK Dons managed to pull one back with a goal from Tommi O’Reilly, but Fleetwood held on for the win.
