Sheffield Wednesday respond strongly with victory against Norwich

Sheffield Wednesday responded well after their heavy defeat at Hillsborough over the weekend by securing a 2-0 victory at home against Norwich in the Championship.

The Owls were on the receiving end of a 6-2 loss to Watford, where they conceded five goals in the second half. However, goals from Josh Windass and Dominic Iorfa before halftime against Norwich helped them bounce back in impressive fashion.

Norwich, who were on a seven-game unbeaten streak, suffered back-to-back defeats and dropped to 12th in the table alongside Wednesday with 18 points.

Despite Norwich having more possession, it was Sheffield Wednesday who took the lead in the 11th minute through Windass after a superb pass from Marvin Johnson.

The Owls doubled their lead when Iorfa headed in a free-kick from Shea Charles. Norwich struggled to create clear-cut chances and failed to break down Wednesday's defense.

Although Norwich showed some improvement in the second half, a disallowed goal for offside was the closest they came to scoring. Sheffield Wednesday managed to close out the game comfortably, securing a clean sheet and their fifth league win of the season.
