St Mirren kept their chances of qualifying for Europe alive by securing a solid 2-0 victory against Dundee United at Tannadice.
Mikael Mandron scored the first goal for St Mirren in the first half, with Jonah Ayunga sealing the win in the second half.
This win brings St Mirren within two points of United, who are currently in fifth place in the Premiership table – the final European qualification spot – with just two games left in the season.
The home team made two changes to their lineup from the previous match against Hibernian, with Kristijan Trapanovski and Glenn Middleton coming in for Jort van der Sande and David Babunski.
St Mirren also made two changes to their starting eleven from the victory against Aberdeen, with Roland Idowu and Caolan Boyd-Munce replacing Oisin Smyth and the injured Mark O’Hara.
The first real threat of the match came from the visitors in the seventh minute when Mandron's long-range shot narrowly missed the target.
United had a chance of their own when Will Ferry set up captain Ross Docherty in the St Mirren box, but the goalkeeper Zach Hemming saved the midfielder's shot.
The home team had a great opportunity in the 15th minute when Middleton delivered a precise cross to Sam Dalby, but the striker missed the target with his header.
St Mirren had their chances too, with Richard Taylor heading over and Ayunga forcing a good save from Walton.
However, St Mirren took the lead in the 31st minute when Mandron scored from the edge of the United box following a pass from Ryan Alebiosu.
Early in the second half, United had another good chance but Dalby's shot went wide.
Dalby threatened again with a header from a Ferry free-kick, but Hemming made a fantastic save to keep the scoreline in St Mirren's favor.
United continued to press, with Middleton coming close with a shot that flew just wide.
St Mirren had a chance of their own, but Alebiosu's shot was saved by Walton.
The visitors extended their lead in the 66th minute when Idowu set up Ayunga, who calmly slotted the ball past Walton after getting past defender Emmanuel Adegboyega.
St Mirren had a chance to make it three in the 78th minute, but Phillips missed the target with his effort.
