Crawley secure win against Shrewsbury despite being one man down to end the season on a high note

Max Anderson played a key role in helping Crawley secure a 2-1 win against bottom-of-the-league Shrewsbury in the final match of the Sky Bet League One season.

Early in the game, Gavan Holohan had a chance for the visitors, but his shot from a tight angle was cleared for a corner by Shrewsbury defense.

Crawley were awarded a penalty shortly after the second half began, which Rushian Hepburn-Murphy successfully converted from 12 yards out. Shrewsbury's Josh Feeney was sent off for dissent after the goal.

Crawley extended their lead in the 60th minute, as Anderson skillfully found the back of the net from outside the box.

Shrewsbury's John Marquis attempted a shot from long range, but Crawley's goalkeeper Toby Steward made a crucial save.

Armando Quitirna tested Crawley's goalkeeper with a free-kick from 20 yards, but Blackman managed to push the ball over the crossbar.

Despite a late goal from Shrewsbury's Mal Benning, Crawley held on to secure the victory.
