Stephen Kelly scored two goals in the first half as second-placed Livingston easily beat fellow Scottish Championship high-flyers Ayr 5-0.
Kelly scored the first goal early in the game from the edge of the penalty area after six minutes and Robbie Muirhead added a second from a penalty after a foul on Cristian Montano.
Ayr's defense struggled as Kelly scored again just before halftime, taking advantage of a long throw from Muirhead and beating Harry Stone to secure the win.
Montano added the fourth goal and substitute Reece McAlear sealed the victory with an impressive long-range volley as Livingston closed the gap to three points behind league leaders Falkirk and extended their lead over Ayr to eight points.
