Manager Gary Caldwell from Exeter was shown a red card as his team drew 0-0 against Lincoln in a League One match between mid-table teams.
Caldwell was very angry when Ryan Trevitt's late goal was disallowed for hitting Angus MacDonald's hand, preventing Exeter from securing a victory at Sincil Bank.
Lincoln had more scoring opportunities in the first half, with captain Paudie O'Connor heading Tom Bayliss' corner kick over the crossbar.
In added time of the first half, Bayliss hit the crossbar with a header of his own.
Goalkeeper Joe Whitworth from Exeter made a good save to deny Jovon Makama in the 60th minute.
Former Irish national player James Collins missed the target after Sean Roughan delivered a dangerous cross.
On the other side, Caleb Watts missed the goal after Demetri Mitchell set up the opportunity with a header.
Exeter came close to scoring late in the game, but substitute Pat Jones could only shoot straight at City goalkeeper George Wickens.
Although the visitors scored in stoppage time, the goal was disallowed for hitting MacDonald's hand, resulting in Caldwell's dismissal.
