Woking secures crucial win against Solihull, inching closer to safety from relegation

Woking secured their first home victory in the National League since the start of the year with a 1-0 win against Solihull.

Matt Ward scored the winning goal by heading in a cross from Frank Vincent in the 18th minute, marking his first league goal since November.

Bradley Stevenson came close to scoring for Solihull in the fifth minute with a powerful shot that hit the Woking crossbar.

A clever back heel from Vincent almost created a second goal for Woking, but Inih Effiong couldn't quite convert the chance.

This win for Woking moved them eight points clear of the relegation zone.
