Altrincham clinched a 2-0 victory against Southend in the National League, marking their return to the winning column.
The breakthrough came early in the game, with Alex Newby setting up Joe Nuttall for a close-range goal just eight minutes in.
Despite a blocked shot from Matty Kosylo and a strong save from Southend's goalkeeper Zach Jeacock to thwart Nuttall, Altrincham extended their lead as Newby's shot slipped under Jeacock in the 42nd minute.
Southend's Aribim Pepple came close to scoring with a shot that hit the crossbar, but it was Altrincham who capitalized next.
In the second half, Pepple had opportunities, including a header wide of the post, but Altrincham held on for the win.
