Myles Peart-Harris scores first goal as Swansea defeat Watford

Myles Peart-Harris scored his debut goal for Swansea in a 1-0 victory over Watford at home, securing their second consecutive win.

Swansea's solid defense resulted in their fourth clean sheet in seven home league games, allowing them to climb four spots to 10th place in the table by containing fifth-placed Watford.

Swansea aimed to continue their momentum from a 2-1 triumph against Oxford, breaking a goal drought of over nine hours. On the other hand, Watford sought their third consecutive win following impressive performances against Blackburn and Sheffield Wednesday.

Despite Watford's recent 6-2 victory at Hillsborough, they were immediately put on the defensive by Swansea. Peart-Harris had an early opportunity with an overhead kick and hit the post, setting the tone for the match.

The breakthrough came in the first half when Josh Key and Goncalo Franco combined on the right side, leading to Peart-Harris tapping in the decisive goal in his 12th appearance for the club.

In an attempt to boost their attacking prowess, Watford's Tom Cleverley introduced Kwadwo Baah at the start of the second half. Despite making substitutions and applying pressure, Watford struggled to trouble Swansea's goalkeeper.

Swansea controlled possession with 60% and showcased their attacking intent with seven shots, finally breaking their home goal drought since September.
