Burton and Crawley end match in scoreless draw

Struggling teams Burton and Crawley played to a draw with no goals at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton have yet to win in the league but managed to stop a losing streak of seven matches.

During the first half, Burton controlled the game for long periods but couldn't score in the first 45 minutes.

In the 15th minute, Tomas Kalinauskas, who scored the winning goal in the FA Cup first-round match on Saturday, had two shots saved by the visiting goalkeeper Connal Trueman, and Ben Whitfield's attempt was also saved.

Charlie Webster missed the target with a shot from a Burton corner in the middle of the half, and Whitfield had a goal disallowed for offside after running onto Max Crocombe's long pass and scoring.

Crawley's substitute Panutche Camara forced Crocombe to make two good saves with 20 minutes left, as the visitors pushed for a win.

In the end, neither team could find a way to score a winning goal in a draw that doesn't help either side at the bottom of League One.
