Abbie Larkin saves the day with a late goal to secure a draw and halt Crystal Palace's losing streak.

Crystal Palace, who were relegated, put an end to their streak of four consecutive defeats in the Women’s Super League as Abbie Larkin struck late in stoppage time to salvage a 2-2 draw against Leicester.

Larkin found the back of the net in the ninth minute of added time in the clash between the WSL’s bottom two teams at the VBS Community Stadium, equalizing a goal from Shannon O’Brien that had looked like securing the win for Leicester.

Annabel Blanchard hit the crossbar with an early opportunity after breaking through the defense in an exciting start.

Palace increased the pressure with a series of corners as they aimed to halt their losing streak that confirmed their fate in the WSL.

It took almost 30 minutes for Leicester to register their first shot, with Hlin Eiriksdottir hitting the side-netting.

Molly-Mae Sharpe shot straight at goalkeeper Janina Leitzig as Palace remained in control, although Chantelle Swaby's header was cleared off the line at the other end.

Leicester's search for their first WSL victory in London continued as Eiriksdottir missed the target again, but they managed to score just before halftime when Hannah Cain capitalized on a defensive mistake.

Cain forced a good save from Shae Yanez early in the second half, and after a quiet spell, Palace were awarded a penalty when Josie Green was fouled by Courtney Nevin, with Blanchard converting from the spot.

The match became intense in the last 10 minutes of stoppage time, with a great goal from O’Brien putting Leicester in front.

However, Palace didn't give up, and five minutes later Larkin scored her first WSL goal after Ashleigh Weerden had breached the visitors' defense.
