Weekend accumulator tips: Five European teams to bet on

Weekend accumulator tips: Five European teams to bet on

Eintracht Frankfurt appear to have finally accepted the departure of star striker Omar Marmoush in January, and can bring some good form into their match against Stuttgart on Saturday.

Dino Toppmoller's exciting team have won three of their last four matches leading up to the break, both at home and away against Ajax in the Europa League and with a 3-1 victory at Bochum in the Bundesliga.

VfB, who lost 3-2 to Frankfurt at home in November, are currently on a five-game winless streak. However, head coach Sebastian Hoeness has the support of the board after agreeing to a new contract.

Frankfurt has been very strong at home this season and they have a good opportunity to capitalize on facing the most porous defense in the top 10 teams.

Champions League darlings Brest are looking vulnerable to opposition on Sunday at Toulouse, as injuries and suspensions have hit Eric Roy's squad hard.

In their recent 0-0 draw against Reims, they had left-back Massadio Haidara sent off. He is now suspended, along with Hugo Magnetti. Skipper Brendan Chardonnet is also out, as well as Jordan Amavi, Jonas Martin, and a couple more players.

Brest have only managed to win one of their last eight games, and while Toulouse's form is not much better, at least coach Carles Martinez has a mostly healthy squad to choose from for this Ligue 1 clash.

Cagliari secured a 2-1 victory at Monza in January, although the losing side played with 10 men for thirty minutes.

There is very little to differentiate between these two struggling teams, and Alessandro Nesta's side has the potential to avoid defeat in the Sardinian capital.

In their previous two matches, Cagliari went 2-0 ahead against Inter Milan and 1-0 up at Parma, but failed to secure wins in either, losing 3-2 in Milan and drawing the other game 1-1.

At least they are showing fighting spirit and could fight their way to earning a point, or perhaps even more, at the Sardegna Arena.

Jose Bordalas and Getafe may not be getting enough credit before their match against Villarreal.
Jose Bordalas and Getafe may not be getting enough credit before their match against Villarreal.

Getafe have been in excellent form for months now, but are still somewhat overlooked by the bookmakers.

Villarreal have suffered two consecutive defeats, causing them to lose ground in the top four race.

FC Augsburg have been the standout team since the winter break, carrying a 10-game unbeaten run into their match against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Remarkably, they have kept eight clean sheets during this run, with goalkeeper Finn Dahmen going 613 minutes without conceding a goal.

They will feel confident heading into the game against Europa League underperformers Hoffenheim, who have not won a single home match in the league since the end of November.
