Wealdstone climb out of the relegation zone following a dramatic late comeback at Braintree

Wealdstone climbed out of the bottom of the Vanarama National League standings after scoring two goals in a short period of time to complete a late comeback in a 2-1 victory over Braintree.

Initially, Matt Robinson scored for the hosts in the sixth minute, but a blunder by Braintree's goalkeeper Henry Gray, who carried the ball into his own goal line from a free-kick, allowed Wealdstone to equalize in the 72nd minute.

After leveling the score, Wealdstone seemed poised to score again, and they managed to do so just five minutes later when Josh Grant's shot with his left foot gave his team the lead.

Braintree's James Vennings was shown a red card for a second yellow card offense with just three minutes remaining, and Wealdstone kept their composure to hold on for the victory.
