Yousef Salech seals late win for Cardiff against Millwall

Replacement Yousef Salech scored a crucial goal in the dying seconds of stoppage time, helping Cardiff secure a 2-2 draw against Millwall.

Cardiff found themselves behind early in the game due to goals from Calum Scanlon and Casper De Norre, but Chris Willock pulled one back before the halftime whistle.

Millwall was on the verge of clinching only their second win in 13 matches, but Salech, who was recently signed from Swedish side Sirius, denied them the victory with his late goal.

Liverpool youngster Scanlon opened the scoring for Millwall with his first senior goal, breaking the deadlock just 61 seconds into the match.

The two teams had different results over the weekend, with Cardiff celebrating a 3-0 victory against Swansea, while Millwall faced a home defeat to Hull which extended their winless streak to five games.

Scanlon, usually a left-back at Liverpool, was instrumental in Millwall's early lead, showcasing his versatility and determination after returning from a back injury.

Cardiff responded with Willock's impressive long-range strike just before the halftime break, giving them hope of a comeback in the second half.

Despite both teams creating chances in the latter stages of the game, it was Salech who made the defining contribution by finding the back of the net in the final moments to secure a valuable point for Cardiff.
