Colchester managed to secure a draw with a last-minute equalizer from Jamie McDonnell against Bradford, finishing the game in a 1-1 tie.
McDonnell found the back of the net with a header from Arthur Read's corner kick during added time, erasing Andy Cook's earlier goal for Bradford.
Early in the match, Colchester had near misses with Harry Anderson's shot flashing past the post and Read's attempt almost finding the goal.
Bradford took the lead in the first half when Cook capitalized on Bobby Pointon's blocked effort to score with a powerful shot, beating goalkeeper Matt Macey.
Richie Smallwood had a chance to extend Bradford's lead with a quick shot before halftime.
Colchester almost equalized after the break as Samson Tovide broke free from the Bradford defense, but his shot was saved by goalkeeper Sam Walker before McDonnell's late equalizer sealed the draw.
