Rotherham stages impressive comeback to defeat Peterborough and end with style

Rotherham ended the season on a high note by coming from behind to defeat Peterborough 2-1 in Sky Bet League One.

Manager Matt Hamshaw's team had a rough start, but goals from Sam Nombe and Cameron Humphreys secured the victory, helping them secure three points and a comfortable mid-table finish.

Peterborough took the lead just 28 seconds into the game, with Abraham Odoh dribbling into the box and finding the bottom corner of the net.

The away team nearly doubled their lead, but Rotherham's goalkeeper Dillon Phillips made a crucial save from Gustav Lindgren's attempt.

Rotherham equalized in the 36th minute when Nombe capitalized on a rebound from Louie Sibley's shot that hit the crossbar.

The winning goal came in the 66th minute from a well-executed corner, as Joe Powell's cross was headed in by Humphreys.

Rotherham had chances to extend their lead, with Wilks missing a header saved by Peterborough's goalkeeper Will Blackmore, and Tayo Edun hitting the post with a late effort.
