Joe Dodoo secures draw for Solihull with penalty against Altrincham

Debut player Joe Dodoo found the net from the penalty spot to secure a draw for Solihull against the 10-man Altrincham, who are aiming for a spot in the play-offs.

Announced just hours before the match, Dodoo's short contract saw him stepping up confidently to convert the penalty and equalize the score to 1-1.

Altrincham's attacker Regan Linney received support from Tom Crawford's determined efforts, enabling him to score a superb goal by cutting inside and striking the ball into the top corner.

The lead was short-lived as in the 52nd minute, Robbie Cundy won a penalty for Solihull, which Dodoo successfully converted for his new team.

Despite being a player down due to Justin Amaluzor's expulsion, Altrincham failed to capitalize on their numerical advantage in the remaining half-hour of the game.
