Substitutes Josh Dacres-Cogley and Jake Young found the back of the net in the second half as Bolton and Stevenage played out a 1-1 draw in the Sky Bet League One match at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Dacres-Cogley scored his first goal since March 2024, just six minutes after coming on, by converting Joel Randall’s pass under Taye Ashby-Hammond.
Despite their efforts to secure their first victory in six games, Wanderers couldn't break the deadlock.
In the 76th minute, Taylor, who had replaced Louis Appere in the 61st minute, scored with a volley from Luther James-Wildin's header, marking his fourth goal of the season.
Both teams played energetically in a match that held no significant consequence. John McAtee and Szabi Schon had good opportunities early in the game.
Dan Sweeney's attempt was stopped by Bolton's goalkeeper Luke Southwood, and Aaron Collins missed a clear chance to increase his season's goal tally to 20.
Southwood made crucial saves from Jamie Reid's attempts, while McAtee took a speculative shot from 45 meters out.
After Dacres-Cogley opened the scoring in the 66th minute, Young equalized for Stevenage ten minutes later. Schon and Dan Phillips had opportunities to clinch the victory for their teams but were unsuccessful.
