Premier League Matches: Forecasting the Outcomes of the Weekend Fixtures

Liverpool are on the verge of clinching the Premier League title if they can avoid a loss against Tottenham at home this Sunday. The race for the top five spots in the league is still very close, adding excitement to this weekend's fixtures.

In our regular preview, we take a look ahead at each match and provide our score predictions for all seven games.

Chelsea vs Everton (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Chelsea are in contention for a spot in the Champions League as they currently sit sixth in the table, just two points behind Newcastle.

The Blues enhanced their chances for a top-five finish with a late 2-1 victory over Fulham in their last game. They will look to continue their momentum against Everton, who are comfortable in 13th place but have struggled with just one win in their last eight league matches.

Score prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Everton

Brighton vs West Ham (Saturday, 3pm)

Brighton's season has taken a downturn as they find themselves in 10th place, 11 points behind the top five and without a win since March 8.

Despite their recent form, Brighton will aim for a strong finish in the top half of the table. They are likely to secure a home victory over West Ham, who have not won a game since the end of February, setting up a difficult match for Graham Potter against his former team.

Score prediction: Brighton 2-1 West Ham

Newcastle vs Ipswich Town (Saturday, 3pm)

Ipswich's relegation seems all but confirmed, and their fate is expected to be sealed with a defeat against Newcastle, who currently hold the fifth position in the table.

The Magpies will be eager to bounce back from their 4-1 loss against Aston Villa last weekend and secure a comfortable win against Ipswich at St James' Park.

Score prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Ipswich Town

Southampton vs Fulham (Saturday, 3pm)

The match between Southampton and Fulham could have a muted end-of-season feel to it, with Southampton already relegated and Fulham unlikely to secure a European spot despite being in ninth place.

Fulham are expected to come out on top in this clash, but the game may lack excitement on the south coast.

Score prediction: Southampton 0-1 Fulham

Wolves vs Leicester City (Saturday, 3pm)

Wolves have been in good form under Vitor Pereira and are on a five-game winning streak after beating Manchester United 1-0 last weekend.

Another victory is on the cards for Wolves as they face struggling Leicester, who were relegated following their defeat to Liverpool.

Score prediction: Wolves 2-1 Leicester City

Bournemouth vs Manchester United (Sunday, 2pm)

Bournemouth have the opportunity to add to Manchester United's recent struggles in the league, as the focus for United now shifts to the Europa League.

The Cherries are unbeaten in their last three matches and will be looking to secure a routine home win as they target a top-10 finish.

Score prediction: Bournemouth 3-1 Manchester United

Liverpool vs Tottenham (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Liverpool are on the brink of winning the league as they host Tottenham, needing just a point to secure the title after Arsenal's draw against Crystal Palace.

While Liverpool struggled to convert chances in their last game, they are expected to kick off the celebrations at Anfield with a win against Tottenham, who are hoping for Europa League success to salvage their disappointing season.

Score prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Tottenham.
