Jadon Sancho rescues Chelsea with goal to draw the match against Ipswich

Jadon Sancho scored a brilliant goal in the final moments to complete a comeback as Chelsea managed to salvage a 2-2 draw against Ipswich at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca seemed to be on course for a disappointing defeat as Ipswich took a 2-0 lead with goals from Julio Enciso and Ben Johnson, putting the struggling team in a position to secure a crucial win in their fight against relegation from the Premier League.

Chelsea fought back and narrowed the gap early in the second half, benefiting from an own goal by Axel Tuanzebe after Marc Cucurella's pressure at the near post, before Sancho scored his first goal since December with a curling shot.

The Blues will view the result as a missed opportunity to gain two vital points in the battle for Champions League qualification.

Early in the game, Nicolas Jackson hit the post following a pass from Enzo Fernandez, while Noni Madueke forced a save from Alex Palmer after a cross from Pedro Neto.

Despite Chelsea's dominant start, Ipswich's goalkeeper made crucial saves, including a close-range header from Levi Colwill as the pressure mounted on the visitors.

Ipswich surprisingly took the lead with Enciso's goal after a well-worked move involving George Hirst and Johnson, leaving Chelsea stunned.

Sanchez's long ball forward led to a swift counterattack by Ipswich, resulting in Johnson's header to put the visitors 2-0 ahead.

Chelsea quickly responded at the start of the second half with Cucurella's fortunate goal, sparking their comeback.

Sancho equalized with a superb strike 12 minutes before the final whistle, rescuing Chelsea with a perfectly placed shot in the top corner.

Despite late chances for Trevoh Chalobah and Cole Palmer, Chelsea was unable to secure a win as Ipswich held on for a valuable point.
