Callum Whelan scored in the second half to help Carlisle secure a crucial victory over Bromley with a 2-1 scoreline at Brunton Park.
Carlisle went ahead with Stephen Wearne finding the net in the 13th minute, marking his first goal for the club. However, Harry McKirdy leveled the score for Bromley in the 28th minute.
Although Kadeem Harris failed to convert a penalty just after halftime, Whelan managed to net the decisive goal in the 54th minute, boosting Carlisle's chances of avoiding relegation.
Wearne opened the scoring for Carlisle with a well-executed shot following a good build-up involving Matthew Dennis.
Bromley responded with McKirdy, a former Carlisle player, chipping the ball over the advancing Gabe Breeze after an assist from Michael Cheek.
Shortly after the break, Carlisle were awarded a penalty when Byron Webster handled a Dennis shot in the six-yard box, but Harris hit the post from the spot kick.
Despite Carlisle's continued pressure, hitting the crossbar through Jordan Jones and seeing Harris' header saved by Grant Smith, it was Whelan who found the back of the net to give Carlisle the lead, courtesy of a deflected low shot.
Bromley missed crucial chances to level the score as Jude Arthurs missed the target from a defensive error and Cameron Harper cleared a Nicke Kabamba effort off the line.
Cheek had a late opportunity to equalise, but the League Two's joint-top scorer missed the target, allowing Carlisle to clinch all three points.
