Leicester suffer another setback as Bees triumph over van Nistelrooy’s struggling side

Brentford handed Leicester a heavy 4-0 loss at the King Power Stadium.

The Bees scored three goals in a 15-minute span in the first half and ended up scoring four against the Foxes for the second time this season, following their 4-1 home win in November.

It was the 10th Premier League defeat for Ruud Van Nistelrooy during his brief time in charge of Leicester.

Although the hosts started stronger, they fell apart in the first half. Goals from Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo, and captain Christian Norgaard saw fans leaving before halftime.

Brentford had more chances to increase their lead, with Mikkel Damsgaard notably having opportunities, but Thomas Frank's team secured a fourth goal when Fabio Carvalho scored his second of the season, leading them to a fourth consecutive away victory and moving them into the top half of the table.

This was the fourth occasion this season that Leicester conceded three goals before halftime and they have not scored at home in 75 days.

Leicester started brightly and were denied twice by Mark Flekken in the opening four minutes, keeping out Woyo Coulibaly and Jamie Vardy's efforts.

Brentford didn't pose much of a threat until they exploited Leicester's weakness in the 17th minute.

Boubakary Soumare's mistake in midfield led to Brentford's first goal, with Wissa finding the net off the woodwork.

They doubled their lead in the 27th minute through Mbeumo, with Norgaard adding a third in the 32nd minute from a set-piece.

Leicester fans left the stadium early as frustrations grew, with chants of relegation fears echoing around the remaining supporters.

Despite further attempts from Brentford, Hermansen's saves denied them more goals.

Leicester's night was further dampened when Carvalho scored Brentford's fourth in the final minutes.
