Accrington and Cheltenham settle for a scoreless draw

Accrington and Cheltenham played to a 0-0 draw at the Wham Stadium in a forgettable match.

There weren't many scoring opportunities in the first half, with only one shot on goal.

In the 24th minute, Stanley had the only shot on target as Kelsey Mooney's header was easily saved by Joe Day.

The Robins made a couple of attempts in the first half, but both George Miller and Arkell Jude-Boyd missed the mark.

Cheltenham had a great opportunity to score in the 62nd minute when Luke Young's free-kick met captain Scot Bennett's head, but he failed to hit the target from close range.

Tom Bradbury found himself with the ball in the six-yard box for the Robins, but he skied his shot as Michael Flynn's team couldn't convert any of their nine chances.

The draw kept Cheltenham in the middle of the table, while 19th-placed Stanley maintained an eight-point lead over the bottom two teams with a game in hand.
