Jack Barham scored Aldershot's tying goal in the second half as they drew 2-2 with promotion contenders Gateshead at the International Stadium.
Gateshead's defender Robbie Tinkler hit the crossbar with a long-range shot while Aldershot opened the scoring in the 11th minute with Josh Barrett converting a cross from Barham.
Shortly after, the home team responded with Owen Oseni scoring a header at the far post to level the game. Callum Whelan then put Gateshead in front 2-1 by converting a rebound from Jacob Butterfield's shot.
Both teams continued to attack in the second half and Aldershot equalized in the 58th minute when Barham scored from a rebound after James Henry's initial shot was saved.
