Birmingham, who are leading comfortably in League One, marked a new club record with their 37th victory of the season. They defeated Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium, with Jay Stansfield converting a late penalty to secure the win.
Stansfield sealed the deal by scoring his 22nd goal of the season from the spot, beating Jed Ward after Taylor Moore was penalised for a handball in the 85th minute.
Keshi Anderson opened the scoring for Birmingham just three minutes into the game with a stylishly curled shot from 15 yards out following a cross from Kieran Dowell.
Bristol Rovers fought back and equalized in the 19th minute when Gatlin O’Donkor headed in a goal from close range after a header from Connor Taylor that came from Kofi Shaw's free-kick.
Despite Rovers hitting the woodwork twice in the first half, they were unable to take the lead before the break.
In the second half, Anderson almost put Birmingham ahead again in the 48th minute, but Ward managed to save his powerful strike.
Stansfield finally secured the victory with his goal after Rovers' missed opportunities, pushing Birmingham further ahead in the league standings with 11 points ahead of Wrexham.
