Late equaliser from Fraser Murray secures a draw for Kilmarnock against Hibernian

Fraser Murray scored a goal in the final minute to help Kilmarnock secure a 1-1 draw against Hibernian at Rugby Park, disrupting the visitors' hopes of claiming third place.

Hibernian seemed poised to claim a crucial victory after Martin Boyle scored midway through the first half following a swift counter-attack triggered by a failed Kilmarnock corner routine.

Kilmarnock struggled to make an impact throughout the match but managed to salvage a point when Murray tapped in a goal after Joe Wright headed the ball back across the goal.

Despite the late equalizer, Hibernian remained in third place, while Kilmarnock stayed in 10th position, effectively ending their chances of finishing in the top six.

In terms of team changes, Kilmarnock's manager Derek McInnes made three adjustments from their previous match, while Hibs' boss David Gray also made three changes following their recent defeat to Celtic.

The game remained tense in the opening 20 minutes, with Marley Watkins having the first notable chance for Kilmarnock before Boyle's goal shifted the momentum in Hibernian's favor.

Both teams struggled to create clear-cut opportunities until the second half, with Hibs continuing to look more threatening in front of goal. Kilmarnock had their best chance early on in the second half but failed to capitalize.

The match remained tight, with both teams having chances to score, but it wasn't until the final moments when Kilmarnock managed to find the equalizer through Murray's shot, which took a slight deflection before hitting the back of the net.
