Unexpected Savior: Man City secure FA Cup win over Plymouth with Nico O’Reilly's surprising performance

Youngster Nico O'Reilly scored two goals as Manchester City turned the game around to defeat resilient Plymouth 3-1 in the FA Cup fifth round.

The Premier League title holders were shocked when Maksym Talovierov scored with a header to give the struggling Championship team the lead in the 38th minute at the Etihad Stadium.

However, any chance for Plymouth to continue their surprising cup journey following unexpected victories over Brentford and Liverpool were dashed by O'Reilly.

The 19-year-old, playing in an unfamiliar position as a left-back, scored an equalizer before halftime and then repeated the success 14 minutes before the end of the game.

Kevin De Bruyne secured City's spot in the quarter-finals with a goal in the final minute.
