Reading Pull Off Late Victory Over Wigan

Reading turned the game around in the final 20 minutes to secure a 2-1 victory against Wigan in League One.

In the first half, Reading dominated play, with Lewis Wing forcing Sam Tickle to make a fantastic save from a 25-yard free-kick. Tickle pulled off another brilliant save soon after to prevent Andre Garcia from scoring from point-blank range.

Despite Tickle's efforts, Reading's Harvey Knibbs saw his shot deflect off Jason Kerr and narrowly miss the target.

Tickle then stopped Tyler Bindon's attempt, but Wigan came close to scoring just before halftime when Joel Pereira saved Jonny Smith's powerful shot.

Wigan took the lead in the 60th minute when Jason Kerr headed in a corner delivered by Jonny Smith.

However, Reading equalized 11 minutes later as Charlie Savage's cross was put away by Jayden Wareham.

Reading completed their comeback with five minutes left on the clock. Despite Tickle's initial save and Amadou Mbengue hitting the crossbar, Tyler Bindon found the back of the net from close range after Wigan failed to clear a corner.
