Luton's coach Matt Bloomfield secured his first victory after nine attempts as the team moved off the bottom of the Championship standings with a 1-0 win against Portsmouth at Kenilworth Road.
Early in the game, Luton faced pressure from Portsmouth, with Colby Bishop's shot blocked by Amari'i Bell just before going over the bar.
Luton took the lead after 25 minutes with a goal originating from their own half. Chris Makosso intercepted a free-kick and set up Jordan Clark, who scored after a deflection off Marlon Pack.
In the second half, Portsmouth started strongly, but failed to capitalize on their chances, while Luton missed an opportunity to extend their lead through Izzy Jones and Liam Walsh.
With four minutes remaining, Portsmouth squandered a clear chance when Connor Ogilvie missed a header from close range. Despite late penalty appeals, Luton held on for their first win since December 20.
