Kamari Doyle and Josh Magennis lead Exeter to win

Kamari Doyle and Josh Magennis scored to help Exeter secure a 2-0 win against Shrewsbury on the road, moving them up to fourth place in the League One standings.

The win extends Exeter's unbeaten streak to six matches.

Exeter took an early lead thanks to a mistake by Toto Nsiala, who was dispossessed by Doyle. Doyle's powerful shot beat the goalkeeper and found the back of the net.

Shrewsbury had a good chance just after the 20-minute mark, but Funso Ojo's shot was saved by Joe Whitworth, with John Marquis missing the follow-up from close range.

Shortly before half-time, Marquis set up Jordan Rossiter with a pass in a dangerous area, but Whitworth denied his shot.

Jack Aitchinson had a chance in the box around the 60-minute mark, but his effort missed the target.

In the 65th minute, Tristan Crama provided a pass for Aitchinson in the box. Aitchinson then set up Magennis at the back post, who slotted the ball into the net to seal the victory for Exeter in a match where chances were few and far between.
