Partick Thistle dominated Edinburgh in their Premier Sports Cup debut match at Meadowbank Stadium, clinching a 4-1 victory with four goals in the first half.
The onslaught began early with goals from Cammy Logan and Robbie Crawford within the first 10 minutes. An own goal by Robert Mahon further compounded Edinburgh's woes, putting them at a significant disadvantage by the 23rd minute.
Logan Chalmers extended the lead to 4-0 in the 40th minute, before Tiwi Daramola managed to pull one back for Edinburgh with a goal in first-half stoppage time, although it proved to be a mere consolation.
