James Norwood netted three goals in the first half during Oldham's dominant 4-0 victory over Tamworth in the Vanarama National League game held at Boundary Park.
The former Ipswich striker Norwood broke the deadlock in the 15th minute by slotting the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.
Oldham earned a penalty in the 37th minute after Will Sutton was fouled inside the penalty area, and Norwood calmly converted the spot-kick past Lambs goalkeeper Jas Singh.
Norwood completed his hat-trick with a header in injury time of the first half.
Substitute Josh Kay added a fourth goal for Oldham in the 75th minute with a cool finish, before Tamworth's Tom Tonks hit the crossbar with a late free-kick.
